Seed Analyst
A Seed Analyst provides various testing on seed samples based on the target market and specified grade standards. Most commonly they check for the purity of the sample, identifying weeds, other crop and inert matter. This requires vast knowledge of what different seeds look like, what is considered a weed in different markets and how it is classified. The other most common test is a germination test. Seeds are placed in a germinator for a number of days, dependent on requested testing standards, and then counted to see how much of the sample grew.
