Imperial Seed’s roots run deep within Western Canada, dating back to 1950 when our primary focus was on processing and marketing seed oats and seed wheat. Our shift to forage and turf seed multiplication changed by the late 1970’s where our focus is now primarily on the forage and turf seed market.

With more than 60 years of processing experience, our staff have experience in a wide variety of species and qualities. Led by our owner Kurt Shmon, Imperial Seed is committed to keeping the growers’ interests first and foremost while maintaining contract quality.

We also operate an accredited seed processing facility, Integrity Seed Lab, and work with Western Canadian Farmers to ensure quality seed for domestic and international markets.
